For most people in the Northern Hemisphere, Christmas is a winter holiday. It's supposed to be chilly, maybe snowy, perfect weather for a cup of hot apple cider or some hot chocolate. There's nothing like a beautiful white Christmas but... a tropical Hawaiian Christmas can be really fun too.

If you spend Christmas in Hawaii, you will still have the decorative lights, festive parades and of course the shopping! But what you won't have is the rain and snow and bad weather that makes you shiver, gives you frostbite and wreaks havoc on the highways. You'll still have the crowds, traffic and excitement but you'll be in Hawaii! Everything here is just a little more relaxed. And don't worry about Santa not being able to find you. He makes his way to the islands, only he gets to take his boots off when he gets here and he puts on some flip flips like everyone else.

If you want to spend Christmas inside, you can. But if you want to head out to the patio or balcony, the weather won't stop you. How about a dip in the ocean after you've opened your gifts? (Maybe you received a new surfboard you want to try out!) Or what about watching the sunrise on the world famous Waikiki Beach on Christmas morning?
