Kauai is known as the Garden Isle, this is because the entire island, it is covered with lush greenery and tropical plants, green mountains and lush tropical foliage, watered regularly by abundant rainfall It is also home to more sandy beaches than any other major island in the Hawaiian chain. - Kauai has several world-famous attractions to visit on your vacation:
- Waimea Canyon is ten miles long and about 3,600 feet deep
- Wailua River and Fern Grotto the Wailua River can be cruised up by boat with spectacular views of the mountain.
- Na Pali Coast offers extreme hiking adventures and clear blue waters.
- Wailua Falls The falls are on the East side of the island.
Kauai main attractions are the beaches with their great snorkeling, surfing, swimming, and sunning, Kauai has excellent beach choices, and most are very different from each other, and different depending on what time of year you visit. The North shore gets big waves in the winter, and most beaches will be unsafe for you to enter at that time, while the South shore gets its (manageable) waves in the summer - perfect for learning how to surf.
