Mazatlan is situated on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, the city is divided into two areas, The "Zona Dorada" or Golden Zone, where the majority of hotels and restaurants are located and "El Centro" or downtown where the heart of the city is. Mazatlan has great beaches, many attractions, a variety interesting historical sites and many interesting monuments spread out all over the city. You can enjoy the beaches along the Golden Zone. Mazatlan has excellent beaches some of them for surfing and some others for swimming.

Mazatlan is home of one of the great Carnival´s of the world. Mazatlan during Carnival is an unforgettable experience, it takes place usually the last week of February or the first part of March, Mazatlan´s Carnival is considered one of the three most important of the world, and it is celebrated since 1898.

If you want to take some time to look around Mazatlan you should visit the historc colonial town with its buildings, plazas and its great architecture. There are a couple of museums to visit, a theatre, the main plaza and the city´s Cathedral.

One know as a spring break place to party, Mazatlan is now attracting more families and more mature tourits.
